What is a Day of DotNetNuke?
Day of
DotNetNuke® is a free event serving those who are interested in learning about
the world's largest .NET based open source framework, DotNetNuke®. The event
attracts many industry experts who are eager to share DotNetNuke® knowledge and
experience. It creates in-person networking opportunities for community members
around the world.
Where did it come from?
The first
event took place in Orlando, FL in 2008 and was named OpenForce Connect. In
2009, the conference moved to Tampa and was rebranded as Day of DotNetNuke®
Tampa. These events in Florida inspired a third conference earlier this year in
Paris, France, called Day of DotNetNuke® Europe.
Why Chicago?
Each of these previous
conferences served their local region, while also attracting many community
members from around the world. The Midwest region has an abundance of
DotNetNuke® experts, and an active community. In order to highlight and serve
those community members, The St. Louis and Chicago DotNetNuke® user groups have
teamed up to host a Day of DotNetNuke® in Chicago. We are DotNetNuke®
professionals and active community members who are passionate about growing the
community and the DotNetNuke® platform, and we feel this is an excellent way to
achieve those goals.
Alright, what are the specifics?
The conference will be held Saturday, October 2nd starting at 9am in Naperville, IL at the Northern Illinois University conference center.
Breakfast, Lunch, and snacks will be provided.
The keynote will be at 9AM. Sessions will be organized into six tracks: design, mobile, administration, development, services, and ecosystem.
There will be a DNN After Dark social event following the event. All attendees, volunteers, speakers, and sponsors are invited.
The conference is completely free.
